Hi! My name is Alina Rajwani, and I am part of the ETC club. I have written two talks and am the Event Planning & Logistics lead for our 2025 conference! Encounters TED-Ed has taught me so much, but mainly has really pushed me beyond my comfort zone. When joining the club, I was skeptical and nervous. I had a lot of ideas but was scared to share them.
Our TED-Ed Club gave me the push I needed to grow in different ways. While in the club, I was able to build my confidence and public speaking skills. Through discussion, debates, and activities I became comfortable being myself and sharing my ideas with large groups and this year I’m on MainStage sharing my idea!
Over the last two years, Encounters TED-Ed has allowed me to grow not just as a speaker, but as a leader, a listener, and a creative thinker. I’ve learned the power of storytelling, the importance of collaboration, and how impactful a single idea can be when it's shared with passion and purpose. From writing and presenting talks to leading the conference, I’ve truly seen how far I’ve come — and I couldn’t be more excited for what’s ahead.
To anyone thinking about joining or unsure of where they fit in, I want to say: take the leap. Encounters TED-Ed is more than just a club — it’s a community that supports you, challenges you, and celebrates every step of your journey. I’m so grateful to be a part of it.
